Royal Review
On Tuesday 6 July 2010, 16 Cadets and Adult Instructors from both C & B Company attended the Royal Review in London to celebrate the 150thanniversary of the Cadet Movement. Among those were Staff Sergeant David Meek (AI), Cadet Sergeant Charlotte Gillett (18) and her brother Cadet Sergeant Mark Gillett (16) from Bridgend Detachment. Cadet Sergeant Major Aaron Unsworth (18) from Maesteg
Detachment also paraded.
These Cadets joined thousands of other representatives from the Army Cadet Force (ACF), Air Training Corps (ATC) and Sea Cadet Corps (SCC) to march from Horses Guard Parade down the Mall to Buckingham Palace where TRH Prince Charles took the Salute.
This was followed by a Red Arrows display and a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, where Cadets had the opportunity to meet TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, HRH The Earl of Wessex, TRH The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and HRH The Duke of Kent.
Everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience. They all agreed it was definitely worth the three days of constant drill practice!
